ITS Fundraising Goal Exceeded.
ITS EMPLOYEES EXCEED FUNDRAISING GOAL, NAMED TOP TEAM FOR ANNUAL CHARITY EVENT
On Saturday, September 26, sixteen employees from Information Transport Solutions, Inc. (ITS) joined with hundreds of other participants to walk and run the NAMIWalks Alabama 5K at Wynton Blount Cultural Park in Montgomery.
“One of the best parts about working at ITS is the fact that our employees go above and beyond when it comes to giving back to the community,” said ITS CEO Steve Meany, NAMIWalks Alabama’s top individual fundraiser this year. “Our team goal was $2,500, which of course our incredible employees exceeded.”
ITS was also the top sponsor of the event, in which 25 ITS employees helped with.
“We all know someone affected by a mental illness, and this walk was meant to help break that stigma and provide the necessary resources for support and education,” Meany concluded.
The annual event brings together teams from all over the state, each tasked with raising funds to support NAMI’s mission of “providing support, education, and advocacy for persons with mental illnesses, their families, and others whose lives are affected by these brain disorders.”
